About Electrocoagulation
Electrocoagulation is a cosmetic treatment that uses a small electrical current to remove minor skin imperfections safely. The heat generated by the current coagulates (seals) the targeted tissue, allowing unwanted lesions to dry out and naturally fall away while protecting the surrounding skin. To ensure proper healing and the best results after the treatment, please follow these guidelines:
- Keep the area clean and dry- Gently cleanse the treated area with mild soap and water after 24 hours. Pat dry – do not rub.
- Do not pick or scratch – Allow any scabs or crusts to heal naturally. Picking may cause scarring or pigmentation changes.
- Avoid makeup and skincare actives – Avoid applying makeup, retinol, acids ( AHA /BHA ), or exfoliants on the treated area for 3-5 days or until fully healed.
- Protect from the sun – use SPF 30+ daily, and avoid direct sun exposure to prevent hyperpigmentation.
- Avoid heat and sweating – stay away from saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, and intense exercise for 24-48 hours.
- Let the skin heal naturally – A small scab may form and usually falls off within 5-10 days.
- Moisturize only with gentle, healing products.
Healing Note: Redness or slight sensitivity is normal and should fade within a few days.
